Lei Guo received the Ph.D. degree in communication and information systems from University of Electronic Science and Technology, Chengdu, China in 2006. He served as a professor at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Northeastern University, Shenyang, China, where he was also the vice school dean and the executive director of Smart System Lab. He is currently a professor at the School of Communications and Information Engineering, Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Chongqing, China. He has published over 200 technical papers in high impact journals and conferences, co-author 3 books and more than 20 patents in the field of optical networks, wireless networks and hybrid wireless-optical access networks. He was one of the first researchers to propose the survivable technologies for multi-domain optical networks, which have been deployed by industry, such as Liaoning Electric Power Co., Ltd. He has received over RMB 10,000,000 in research funding from government agencies and industry. Professor Guo has authored several invited papers and is the recipient of Best Paper Awards from several conferences, such as ICCCAS, COIN, QSHINE, etc. He has supervised 28 Ph.D. and 92 Master’s research students.
