Mujer con más de 20 años de experiencia laboral. La promoción y fomento de la cultura investigativa para la salud pública y la epidemiología son los pilares de mi carrera profesional e investigativa. Ha sido mi competencia, liderar y gestionar proyectos de investigación, de docencia y de extensión principalmente para la Universidad colombiana y para el sector de la salud, con amplia proyección internacional y reconocida capacidad de incidencia en acciones de cooperación científica y académica para el desarrollo local. He gestionado y liderado los ciclos de constitución, conformación, gestión, seguimiento y evolución de Redes de conocimiento, Grupos de pensamiento, Observatorios de salud y de Ciencia Tecnología e Innovación. He dado impulso a diferentes grupos de investigación en los que se exige además de la excelencia académica, una alta creatividad, compromiso, solidaridad y ética para los retos que impone la transdisciplinariedad y la construcción de conocimiento. Entre los temas de interés y experticia temática están las políticas públicas en salud, salud urbana (capital social, ciudad saludable), la epidemiología social (las inequidades en salud, los determinantes de la salud, el derecho a la salud), la Atención Primaria en Salud, la promoción de la salud, la gestión del conocimiento (la gestión de CT i + e para el sector salud, con especial énfasis en innovación social y transformativa) y, la cooperación internacional (la diplomacia en salud, la salud global, entre otros). Desde el año 2004 y hasta la fecha funjo como profesora investigadora del Departamento de Ciencias Básicas de la Escuela Nacional de Salud Pública "Héctor Abad Gómez" de la Universidad de Antioquia, Colombia. También soy profesora invitada al Grupo de Investigación sobre Desigualdades en Salud, Ecología y Condiciones de Empleo y al Public Policy Center JHU-UPF, Departamento de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales, Universidad Pompeu Fabra en Barcelona, España. Es en el año 2015 que nace la línea de investigación "Epidemiología y Salud Urbana" del Grupo de Investigación en Epidemiología. Desde el año 2017 promuevo el Seminario local sobre Salud Ambiental y Cambio Climático. A partir del año 2018 impulso los desarrollos del Relacionamiento Estratégico y la Comunicación de la Facultad. Soy consultora de reconocidas agencias nacionales e internacionales del sector salud OMS/OPS, Ministerios de Salud en las Américas, COHRED, Medicus Mundi, BID, BM entre otras, con más de 120 publicaciones y 200 participaciones nacionales e internacionales. show More
