Later he served as a Chair of School of Physics during 2008-2012. Then he spent one year as a visiting scientist at CERN and actively involved in the Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn initiative projects for experimental particle physics. As a result, the experimental particle physics group at SUT has been set up to participate in the first two international collaborations, ALICE, CERN, and PANDA, GSI/FAIR, in the years 2013 under the umbrella of the Center of Excellent in High Energy and Astrophysics at SUT. Having started in the simulation work for the upgrade of the ALICE Inner Tracking System (ITS) and PANDA Electromagnetic Calorimeter, he has extended his research into the area of sensor development and testing by working with Thai Microelectronics Center (TMEC) and the electron Beam Test Facility at Synchrotron Light Research Institute (SLRI). In the year 2016, Prof. Yu Peng Yan and Chinorat have represented SUT and joined the PandaX collaboration. SUT has proposed to work on the R&D of field cage and field shaping for the PandaX III. Since 2019, he has started new research related to medical applications by joining the Bergen pCT collaboration . Currently he is a head of the Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) Project at SUT. show More
