杨, 力  PhD

Senior researcher with 509 publications in the last 26 years
Li Yang received a bachelor degree in Biochemistry at Lanzhou University, China, in 1998 and a PhD degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, China, in 2004. After his post-doctoral training in RNA Biology with Dr. Sidney Altman at Yale University, USA, from 2004 to 2006 and in RNA Systems Biology and deep sequencing with Dr. Brenton R. Gravely at University of Connecticut Health Center, USA, from 2007 to 2010, he started his independent research at CAS-MPG Partner Institute for Computational Biology (PICB) in 2011. He has been a Principal Investigator and group leader at PICB until Jan 2022, and now a Distinguished Professor and group leader at Institutes for Biomedical Sciences, Fudan University, China, since Feb, 2022. His lab focuses on developing novel computational strategies, together with deep-sequencing technologies and diverse biochemical methods, to decode expression, function and potential application of long noncoding RNAs, including circular RNAs (circRNAs) from back-splicing, and on applying the-state-of-the-art base editing technologies to recode our genome for basic research and genomic medicine. show More
