Dr. Tingwen Huang, a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and a member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts. His research fields include neuromorphic computing, smart grid, computational intelligence, control, nonlinear systems, cybersecurity and optimization. He has published 4 books, more than 500 leading journal papers including about 300 papers in high prestige IEEE Transactions, the flagship journals of IEEE societies, 50+ papers in Neural Networks, a top tier journal in artificial intelligence. His research work has been sponsored by Qatar National Research Fund through competitive Qatar National Priority Research Program with more than 7 million USD. One of his projects was awarded the Best Research Project Award by QNRF in 2015. He is named the Highly Cited Researcher in two fields: Engineering and Computer Science by Clarivate Analytics, formerly Thomson Reuters. Also, he is ranked 194 in the list of top scientists ranking for Electronics and Electrical Engineering, and 748 in the list of top scientists ranking for Computer Science, according to Research.com. He was awarded Dean’s Fellow for Recognition of Faculty’s Excellence and Achievements by TAMUQ in 2014, Faculty Research Excellence Award by TAMUQ in 2015, was elected as an IEEE Fellow in 2018, was awarded a Changjiang Chair Professor, the highest honor conferred to scholars by Ministry of Education of China in 2019. He was elected as an Academician of the International Academy of Systems and Cybernetics Sciences (IASCYS), a Fellow of the Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association (AAIA), was conferred Outstanding Achievement Award by Asia Pacific Neural Networks, was selected as a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, a Member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts in 2021. He was elected as a Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS, class 2023) for the advancement of science in the developing countries, a Fellow of The International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR), was conferred Dean's Achievement Award by Texas A&M University at Qatar, and The Association of Former Students Distinguished Achievement Award for Research, one of the highest honors the university can bestow upon a faculty member, by Texas A&M University in College Station, U.S. in 2022. show More
