Narcís Cardoner Álvarez is a specialist in psychiatry since 1998 and Ph.D. since 2003. He completed his training in psychiatry at the University Hospital of Bellvitge, in this same center, he developed his activity as a consultant psychiatrist until January 2015. During the same period, he began his research activity in the group led by Professor Julio Vallejo Ruiloba and Dr. José Manuel Menchón, and forming their own group in 2008 - Affective Disorders in Clinical Neurosciences -. His interests are focused on the clinical and neurobiological characterization of affective and anxiety disorders, particularly through neuroimaging techniques with the aim of characterizing diagnostic or therapeutic markers with translational value. Since February 2015, he has started a new professional stage at the Parc Taulí Sabadell Health Corporation, where he assumes the clinical leadership of the Process of Affective Disorders and the coordination of the Observatory of Community Mental Health of Catalonia (OSAMCAT). In the field of research he coordinates the area of ​​research in Neurosciences and acts as Principal Investigator of the group of Affective Disorders in Clinical Neurosciences. He is also a principal investigator of the AGAUR Consolidated Research Group; Cognitive Neurosciences & Affective Disorders (CNAD; 2017 SGR 1292) and co-IP of the clinical group linked to CIBERSAM of Parc Tauli (GCV16 / SAM / 1). He is currently an associate medical professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Legal Medicine of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, ​​has directed five doctoral theses and director or co-director of ten thesis projects. In his career, he has participated in more than 183 chapters of books, monographs and articles, more than 80 in international indexed journals, mostly from the first quartile of the areas of psychiatry and neurosciences. He has also participated in 30 competitive research projects, being a principal researcher consecutively in 6 FIS projects, 2 PERIS projects, as well as in 2 European projects. The cumulative impact factor is greater than 500 points, with a citation index of 4996, factor H of 36 (Google Scholar).
