Umar PhD, CEng, MICE, FHEA, EUR ING Tariq  PhD

Tariq has completed Ph.D. degree in construction management from London South Bank University, UK, and registered as a Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) with Engineering Council UK. He is also a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE). He has more than 18 years of international experience involving different positions in academia and industry. Tariq has published several research articles in the area of construction management, renewable energy, engineering sustainability, construction materials, waste and resource management and construction 4.0. Prior to joining UWE, he was working in Kingston University and before that he was working in Oman where he had served a Higher Education Institution for more than eight years. Tariq is an approved mentor of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE, UK) and helping graduate engineers to become professionally qualified engineers. He is also a reviewer for the ICE membership, professional registration, and End Point Assessor. Tariq is also serving as member of the editorial board/advisor and a reviewer for several journals and renowned conferences. He is STEM ambassador and organize events to motivate young people particularly women in STEM.
