M. Anwar Hossain is a Professor in the School of Engineering Technology & Applied Science at the Centennial College, Toronto, Canada. Previously he served as an Associate Professor in the Software Engineering Department, College of Computer and Information Sciences (CCIS) at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. He obtained his master degree in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa, Canada, in 2005 and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same University in 2010. At this university, he was associated with the Multimedia Communications Research Laboratory (MCRLab), School of Information Technology and Engineering. He received the B.Sc. Engg. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Khulna University, Bangladesh. Dr. Hossain received IBM faculty award in 2011. His research interests include multi-sensor systems, multimodal surveillance and privacy, internet of things, ambient intelligence, smart cities, and sensor-cloud. He guest edited several journals and organized multiple workshops and symposiums.
