Dr. M Rafiqul Islam received Ph.D. from the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU) in 2003, currently a Senior Professor in the Department of Agronomy, BSMRAU, Bangladesh. Dr. Islam has a strong background in teaching and research in agronomy, land & crop management, and climate change. He is a leading researcher at the BSMRAU in the fields, including NRM, eco-physiology, and environment, farming systems having skills in ecosystem management, remote sensing, and GIS in agriculture. He supervised over 40 MS and 7 Ph.D. students and published more than 70 research articles, including research papers, reviews and books. Dr. Islam is a member of the Editorial Board of several scientific journals and serves as an external peer reviewer of reputed international journals. He has participated in different international projects, including APN (Japan), NSF (USA), FAO (Italy) PR & D (Philippines), DANIDA (Denmark), and attended many international and national conferences as an invited speaker.
